Systems thinking helps us to understand both the whole and its components, as well as the relationships between them. It enables us to see the properties of the system as a whole, which differ from the properties of each of its parts.

This is where one of the key values of systems thinking comes to the fore: even without detailed knowledge of all the elements of a system, but by understanding the laws by which systems operate, one can recognise the immediate and long-term consequences of one’s own decisions, predict the behaviour of the system and see several steps ahead.

During the event, we will explore the following questions:
– What does it mean to view an organisation as a system, rather than a set of separate functions and roles?
– How are the effectiveness of individual elements linked to the performance of the entire system?
– How does systems thinking help us operate in
complex contexts?
– Which connections within an organisation have the greatest impact on outcomes, yet remain unnoticed?
– Where exactly does a manager have real leverage
over the system?
